3 Ingredient Meatballs

3 Ingredient Meatballs

I must admit, I have a slight obsession with meatballs! The first time I had this particular kind was about a year ago when my stepdad made them for a family event. But being the great cook he is, he wouldn’t share his secret recipe with me. Talk about a let down! All that I remember was that I saw grape jelly, yes grape jelly for meatballs. Fast forward to present day and I have cracked the code (with a little help). I was on Pinterest looking for a meatball recipe that would hopefully taste like my stepdad’s and ran across an exact match. Here is the original recipe that I found on Dear Crissy. I made some slight changes to meet my family’s needs.

These meatballs are so good, they disappear at a disappointing rate in our house. They are so easy to make and are hearty & filling. We pair them with mashed potatoes which is kind of odd but delicious none the less. All you are going to need is a slow cooker and the three magical ingredients.

  • 1 – 18oz. squeeze bottle grape jelly (I use Welch’s Natural Concord Grape Jelly)
  • 1 – 28 oz. bottle barbecue sauce (I use Sweet Baby Ray’s)
  • 2 – 1 lb bag frozen Swedish style meatballs

  1. Add grape jelly and barbecue sauce to a slow cooker, stir to blend well
  2. Stir in meatballs to coat
  3. Cover and cook on high for 3 to 3 1/2 hours, stirring halfway during the cook time

I hope you guys try it and love them as much as we do!
