From personal experience, this crib is beautiful and is a nice size. I like that all four sides are the same height because it gives it a more modern feel and looks clean. The Union Convertible Crib comes in some funky colors (in a good way) as well as the classic colors. It was very easy for my husband to assemble and for it to be a lightweight crib, it is very sturdy. We have not had a problem with the paint outside of Zander using the rail as a teething toy. He did chip the paint because of that, good thing the paint is non-toxic! We have not had a problem with the design of the rails and our boy is a wild sleeper. His leg does escape through the rails at times but they have never gotten caught or stuck. He has always been able to bring it back in while still sleeping so I would say that the rail width is not a concern. It is super affordable and is perfect for moms that like bang for their buck! We purchased through Amazon and the shipping was extremely fast and it was not damaged upon arrival. If I could do it all over again I would purchase this crib again.
